ON-LINE TRAINING

We highly recommend that ALL PARENTS take the on-line Youth Protection Training, as this is required for anyone who drives kids to events or joins an outing.

Additionally, a new course is available – Weather Hazards.  This course is an excellent refresher for if you find yourself in unsafe weather conditions.  The course will not just help on Boy Scout outings, but can help your family personally!

To take these on-line courses follow the instructions below:

Go to http://www.scouting.org/Applications/MyScoutingFull.aspx.

Click the “here” under “New to My Scouting” (on the right hand side of the screen).  This will allow you to set up an account.  Our Council is Pacific Skyline Council – 031, you will not need to enter your member ID number, however, if you are a troop leader, this is desirable for Council record keeping.

Set up a password.  Validate the account.

You can then sign into My Scouting.  We recommend that you bookmark this page so that you can return to it.

Once there, click on the ELearning link on the left of the page.  This is training under the General Tab.  Boy Scout Fast Start for leaders is under the Boy Scout page.

You will find Weather Hazards under supplemental training.

Good Luck.
